me and bazaar: Bukan Bazaar

These are pictures from the bazaar that I joined in last

Saturday and Sunday. I brought my own display table

in a form of a vintage television cabinet and share it

with the most awesome crafter comrades Mister Fransis ,

Miss Sunya Raw and the following day, Miss Dindie Mikisi 

too. Oh how we had a blast! We manage to meet with

some of the other artists and crafters and of course 

had a collage workshop! Oh thank you Kamar for organized

this! Yay! You guys rocks!

Trade Tuesday : theriveriseverywhere

I met her from etsy chat and we both find ourselves

instantly in love with each other shop that we agreed

on doing a swap. Her moustache bandana is what I

love most although I love her polaroid necklace too.

I believe that's her in those bandanas, looking awesome

and all. And I promised her to send my picture with

that blue bandana on the first picture. Check out her

work and wednesday

I finished these two among piles of works, endless brainstorming

sessions and of course one after another glass of iced coffee

cream. The more stressed out I am the more things I do

and make in between. How about you? What do you do

when you are in that moment?

me and crafts: some old stuff

i love tote bags therefore i make several kinds of them.

not that i sew them since i don't do machine sewing,

but i love picking up the fabrics, design them, thinking

of words of pictures that i will embroidered or silk

screen on them and such. 

and i make wristlet clutch once from a vintage fabric

for an office job. it's supposed to be a benefit bag for 

a drugs free NGO in Indonesia. i really am happy with

how it turned out although afterwards i don't know 

when will i ever make such a clutch again.

i love vintage hankies. i made that pillow cushion

with two big hankies and a white pom pom. it

turned out so cute! but at the same time i realize

that to find the right size and motifs of hankies that

perfect to be mix match together is definitely not

easy. therefore i haven't make any until now.

me and etsy: madeofjacinta treasury!

One night on Etsy chat room I met this girl

that makes such a beautiful brooches.Her

shop called Madeofjacinta. And I fall in love

with her shop obviously and she is also

fall in love with my shop. Ain't that sweet?

So we both decide to do a little pretty trade

of our stuff in each shop. But apparently

Miss Elisa also put me in her beautiful and

fun treasury! Oh my!

me and collages: a lesson

I'm a pretty impatience collage artist. I realise this lately

when I push myself to finish a series without realising

that actually the idea is not really there yet. Only because

I feel like there is this urge to stay being productive so

I just keep cutting and gluing without actually know what 

I am doing. How about you? What kind of collage artist 

are you, dear?

me and that punk boy : things we love today

Our house. That old dusty and messy palace of ours.

Where you can see origami papers scattered around

and vintage pillow cushions in our poor lighting bed

because of this rainy season. Oh how wonderful!

me and collages: a new series!

I have been looking for used and vintage maps for sometime.

But not until last Sunday I accidently found some on a tiny

used book shop where my punk boy used to shop too. That's

where his map collections come from actually.

There are three pieces so far, made of a used postcard as the

backup as my other collages. I haven't decide either to put these

three first on my etsy or wait for more pieces being made. But

how I love these three! Yay!

me and my etsy: updates!

It's really interesting how excited I was about updating

my shop until I realized that I will have way too many new

stuff in one time update if I actually go with the first plan.

So today, I decide to add some new collages first. And for

next week I'm going to put totally a new product that I am

so excited about already!

These time they all smaller than any of my previous batch

of collages in my shop and I certainly learn a lot about making

stuff that will take a really cheap cost on the delivery from Jakarta

after sometime now.

So, please do take a peek to my new stuff at the shop today.

(not so) sunny sunday

I just realized that Jakarta now is starting to have

its rainy season. Therefore it is a bit difficult to get

sunlight that really shine in full and beautiful. It's

cloudy almost every day and rain hard almost every

night. Nice but not nice for taking pictures.

And I'm still working at the office today, but before

that I manage to go to the market near my house

to do some craft shopping and all. Wonderful. Oh,

and I did a little collage too last night in between

playing scrabble and eating cakes with my lover and

one of our bestfriend.

These are things scattered on my office desk.

Yes, I do lots of things in between my job everyday.

They are a really, really good distractions and balance

from my office madness lately.

Some are new collages for my etsy, one is just this

new theme of drawing meet collage that I am into

and one is one exciting collaboration artwork project

with one of my office mate.

So grateful having these all ten and healthy fingers

with way too short nails. How about your fingers?

me and photography : fabric piles

I always, always love pictures of fabric piles. Always.

I just realized that since I'm into crafter blogs lately.

I think it's really amazingly pretty to see those mix

of motifs and fabrics to see people's preferences in

fabrics. It's almost like take a peek into their closet.

Sometimes you can imagined what kind of stuff that

those fabrics should be perfect for. Sometimes you just

feel like the mix fabrics just way too pretty to be

changed. And Rosa Pomar fabric piles is always,

always oustanding.

(Not so) Sunny Sunday

This weekend is such a rainy weekend, even on Sunday.

I spent most of my days in my exhibition together with

Miss Lowquacity. But in the morning I went to this one

bookshop near my exhibition space to had a coffee with

one of my buddy that having the exhibition with me

before he went back to Bandung, his city.

And....I got my first commisioned collage project! Yay!

She's one of the visitor of my exhibition that supposed

to come to buy some brooches from our opening-soon

craft shop. So one way or the other, she got more than

some gorgeous brooches that day.
