me and collages: a lesson

I'm a pretty impatience collage artist. I realise this lately
when I push myself to finish a series without realising
that actually the idea is not really there yet. Only because
I feel like there is this urge to stay being productive so
I just keep cutting and gluing without actually know what
I am doing. How about you? What kind of collage artist
are you, dear?

me and collages: a new series!

I have been looking for used and vintage maps for sometime.
But not until last Sunday I accidently found some on a tiny
used book shop where my punk boy used to shop too. That's
where his map collections come from actually.

There are three pieces so far, made of a used postcard as the
backup as my other collages. I haven't decide either to put these
three first on my etsy or wait for more pieces being made. But
how I love these three! Yay!

What do you think?

me and my etsy: updates!

It's really interesting how excited I was about updating
my shop until I realized that I will have way too many new
stuff in one time update if I actually go with the first plan.
So today, I decide to add some new collages first. And for
next week I'm going to put totally a new product that I am
so excited about already!

These time they all smaller than any of my previous batch
of collages in my shop and I certainly learn a lot about making
stuff that will take a really cheap cost on the delivery from Jakarta
after sometime now.

So, please do take a peek to my new stuff at the shop today.

me and reused : customized envelopes

I am so much into writing and sending letters this week.
From saying hello to some old friends, etsy trades and blog
collaboration projects. Oh so much fun, indeed. But this idea
to customized each of the used envelopes in my office is
actually purely accidental. A pretty one, I must say.

I always have a box of round punch papers on my desk lately
and I have been wondering apart from putting them on my
collages, I haven't found something else until I did this in one
of the envelopes to covers any unnecessary writings or pictures
on the envelope so that I can reused them.

This is so much fun! Now I am so busy preparing my mails
and accesorize them like this for all kinds of envelopes. Yay!

me and my fingers

These are things scattered on my office desk.
Yes, I do lots of things in between my job everyday.
They are a really, really good distractions and balance
from my office madness lately.

Some are new collages for my etsy, one is just this
new theme of drawing meet collage that I am into
and one is one exciting collaboration artwork project
with one of my office mate.

So grateful having these all ten and healthy fingers
with way too short nails. How about your fingers?
What have they made so far? Tell me.
I'd love to know.

me and favetsy: whileshenaps

I am totally in awe when I first find this one etsian.
I mean there is no way I could even imagined being
as neat as she is. Those dolls, fabrics, collages and
ideas!

She makes all these while her daughter naps, so
that's where the etsy shop name came from. Sweet.
I wish I can have one of her piece someday.

Go check her out, you will be swoon. All of you.

sunny sunday

Still working all day at the office today. Taking pictures
from a Padang (West Sumatra) restaurant at the back
of my office and finding a kitschy compartment from this
old talcum powder brand found at this little shop near it.

Not the kind of Sunday that I like, but at the same time
just get along with it since having someone waiting at
the house patiently for me to come back soon is more than
enough today. How's your sunday, by the way?

me and collages: pinkshirtsncarwrecks

I found this colllages by etsian named pinkshirtsncarwrecks
this morning and I inspired instantly. I like her mix of color
and papers not to mention using wood tray for the medium
of her collages. Remind me some collages that I made on a
cutting board that I made last week.

Libby, her real name, is also one of the guest blogger
of sfgrlbybay yesterday. That's where I found her.
Oups, I have a sunny sunday post to do today:)

me and collages: gemini is like monkey

These are two original collages that I make as a part
of a series that I put at my shop
These three are taken but you are still can pick
and choose from the other 10 pieces
that still available on my shop.

I made this out of wallpapers, old comics, origami
papers and indonesian all stamps. I call this series
Nina and they are all originals and one of a kind
handmade art. And yes, I love to do a commisioned
collage art for your enjoyment, ladies and gentlemen.

Oh did I told you I love doing an art swap too?

me and collages: one good bumblebee

I've know One Good Bumblebee for some time actually,
but not until yesterday I found these pretty cool
messy collages print that they sell in their shop.
I never thought of making prints out of my collages
but I think these prints definitely make me might
have another thought of it.

what do you think, dearie?

me and the mail man

Look what I have received today from the mail man!
The Lebaran (like Christmas but for Moslem) card
from Miss Sunya Raw, the mega crafty chick of mine.
I love the heart picture and the color mix and pattern
is just so cool I think.

The second is two collages and Dala horse (!) from
Miss Nina in Netherland. We had a swap two months
ago and finally her package arrived today. And what
is more about it is that when I see the peacock one
on her blog I said that I really like it but never thought
it would be for me! Yay! Oh you should see the Dala
horse in person, it's gorgeous! Thank you bunches, girls!

All these scattered in my office desk.
Some will be available at my shop here
and some will be at my Etsy. Yay!

Someone got inspired last night...

Inspired by gorgeous elephants by this lady
I came up with this one last night.

Awesome!

and there are some free gifts awaits you
for the first five purchases!
Oh papers, papers, how I love thee.

Sunny Sunday

I spent last Sunday still in crafty mood together with one
of my crafty comrade. She made plenty of apple cinnamon
cupcakes for her cafe while I made yoyo and round pieces
from cardboards. Plus, starting to make my collage swap
with someone from across the globe. Oh so exciting!

For the first time in my life I put my own artwork
(a paper collage from one of my series) in my studio wall.
It feels so wonderful.

So, how about your Sunday? Tell me about it.
