me and mecca : things that they sell on the street

These pictures are from my last year trip to Mecca
but I still keep some of them in my camera apparently
and excitedly share them here to remind me how
colorful those stuff they are selling and how actually
some of them are pretty much ordinary stuffs even
in Jakarta or Indonesian's street. Sure love to go back
there someday:)

macam pedagang dan barang yang dijual di jalanan
Mekah. Ingin sekali kembali kesana suatu hari nanti:)

me and pom pom : their pretty rolls

Pom poms are amazing, even before they are finished in the making
as an half done piece they are already really pretty. Agree?

Bagaimana saya tidak tergila-gila membuat pom pom? 
Bahkan sebelum mereka jadi pun sudah tampak begitu cantiknya!

two new collages that i finished last week and soon should be up
on my little shop as prints and other gorgeous goodies.

me and malacca : Jongker Street

I have to came back to this one street at Malacca
called Jongker Street only to take pictures under the sun.
Because I am so in love with almost everything about this street
that at night on weekends held a big street market
selling food, crafts, vintage and other goodies.
I will share you what I bought from that market
later:)

Oh I rarely drink iced coffee during this Singapore and
Malaysia trip because they have that one ice tea
with milk called Teh Tarik. They are so good!
I will definitely be back for it!

me and my etsy: wish i could sell more originals

Before I share you my issue about listing an original on
my etsy, I will ask you this question first. Is at your part
of the universe finding a good and pretty small vintage
frame is really difficult? If your answer is yes, than you
will understand my feelings. Well, my frustration actually.
You see, most of originals are small. Therefore, I'm much
prefer to sell them framed rather than just is. Because
when they're being framed I feel like it's a complete piece
of art that ready to adorn your wall anytime.

These are some originals that I finally be able to find a
perfect frame for them, although they are not ready to
be listed on the shop but I will start with offering you
this  this week. I hope you love it as much as I am:)

Sunny Sunday

These are taken from my last Sunday at my
youngest sister's room. She was having fever
and also my mom and dad. Not a good feeling
Sunday at al I tell you. And at the same time
I have been spending almost 12 hours every
day in my temporary office for a so much fun
project that I can not tell you now;)

Anyway, the last time I visit her room was
like a couple of months ago so I was really
happy to find these pieces last Sunday. She
just recover from her fever today and I can't
wait to paint things together with her!

me and my friends : a tiny mask party

Last Friday me and Miss Dindie helped out a girlfriend
in her painting class by come up with a mask making
idea. We bring along all of our craft supplies and run
that one hour class with 15 kids! That's pretty overwhelming
I must confess since that would be my first art making
with children class.

I would love to do more of these classes though,
because I love to surround myself with children and
learning things from them. Aren't we all?

me and reuse: visit to a second hand clothing shop

 

 

I went there to accompany my good friend that has
never been there. I haven't been there for months and
it's interesting to see that what attracts my eyes are
not those clothes being sold there but instead those
rejected bunches:)

me and mecca : their fancy camels

These camels are mostly hang around at the mountain
areas where mostly visited by people about to pay
respect to a cave, cemetery or statue around it.
I feel sad actually seeing how heavy these camels
being accessorized(?) by their owners just to look
fun and pretty to attract those people to ride them.

I mean look at all those carpets and other dangling
things they put on them! Imagined walking up and
down the mountain with those things PLUS someone
riding on your back? There.

That's the gorgeous tutorial that I learned in making them.
Apart from having an order from another etsian for a bouquet
for her room, I was so so happy with the way turned out!

So yesterday, in a rainy afternoon I just finished a bouquet of
ten of them when suddenly a friend text me and asked me out.
But when we met I brought along the bouquet because I need
to buy a vase for them...what happened then, she bought them!
Yay! And today I will definitely make more!

My postcard sets finally finished! Yay! There are five sets
out of my collages from past and present series. Comes in
a biggger size than standard size for the love of sharing and
writing in all of us. Available at the shop from today.
