me and ubud : a street gallery under a big tree

I passed them by every time I went out of Ubud.
They placed those paintings around under this one
old tree that grow in front of a temple. Such a cool
exhibition idea I will say. Oh and that cat painting is
my favorite! Isn't he just adorable?

Sunny Sunday

I think this is hottest Sunday I have ever had
in Ubud so far. It's good that we stay at home.
Cooking, reading and singing along and had a
yummy Japanese dinner later on. Oh how's
your Sunday, dear?

me and ubud: a bazaar style shop!

it's a small shop on the corner not so far from antonio blanco's
museum. it called moga moga or hopefully in english. it has
abundance of gorgeous enamel wares, kitschy recycled stuff,
fabrics and clothes.

when i talked to the shopkeeper, apparently the owner is a
japanese woman that marry a javanese man. she's also
making jewellery from mosaics, silver and gold in a very
festive and vintage kind of style. just gorgeous!

i love to buy so many things at this shop but i could
refrain myself with three small recycled tin stuff. ffuih!
i know i should take more pictures, but i am way too
busy checking out stuff there. my bad:)

me and my sister : her love nest

I know should have tell you all earlier but everything
just so quick and so many things to prepare! But now
since I'm about to settle in a new nest in Ubud, Bali
with my second succulent sister...Yes, you heard me.
I decide to live in Bali this January.

My sister lives in this one room hut by a small forest
in a big Balinese family house complex. Look how
lucky she is! And since there are so many fruit trees
like rambutan, durian and mangosteen around it...
we have never have a shortage of fresh fruit! Yay!
